Senior Civil Estimator - Utility Renewable Projects
This position supports cost development and scope definition for large renewable energy projects with a primary focus on civil construction activities. The role works crossāfunctionally with engineering, procurement, and project delivery teams during early project planning and bid phases.
Role Overview
- Develop highālevel and detailed civil cost estimates for utilityāscale energy projects
- Define civil scopes, assumptions, and risk considerations during preconstruction
- Support subcontractor pricing exercises, bid comparisons, and scope alignment
- Review early design documents to assess constructability and site constraints
- Collaborate with engineering partners to support preliminary site design decisions
- Provide estimating support through project award and early execution phases
Civil Scope Exposure Site preparation, earthwork, drainage, foundations, trenching, environmental considerations, geotechnical inputs, and coordination of civil subcontracted work.
Background
- Several years of experience estimating or managing civil construction scopes
- Exposure to designābuild project delivery models
- Experience supporting large infrastructure or energy projects preferred
- Familiarity with construction takeoffs and estimating tools
- Ability to support occasional site visits as needed
