Senior Distribution/MV Engineer - Power & Energy
What You'll Do
- Serve as the technical expert on electrical power systems, including switchgear, MV/LV distribution, and P&C solutions
- Support pre‑sales and post‑sales engineering, including system selection, technical proposals, and solution design
- Develop and review single‑line diagrams, schematics, and equipment layouts
- Provide technical guidance on protection schemes, relay coordination, and control philosophies
- Interface directly with customers, utilities, EPCs, and internal engineering teams
- Support troubleshooting, FATs, commissioning, and customer technical questions
- Ensure designs align with industry standards (IEEE, IEC, NEC, ANSI)
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (or similar)
- 5+ years of experience in one or more of the following:
- Switchgear (MV/LV)
- Power distribution systems
- Protection & control / relays / substation systems
- Strong understanding of power system fundamentals
- Experience supporting applications engineering, technical sales, or customer‑facing engineering roles
- Familiarity with tools such as ETAP, SKM, ASPEN, AutoCAD, or relay configuration software (SEL, GE, etc.)
- Strong communication skills and comfort working with customers
Nice to Have
- Utility, EPC, OEM, or manufacturer background
- Experience with substations, renewables, data centers, or industrial power
- PE license (or on track)
- SCADA or communications exposure
