Overview
Our client, a nationally recognized engineering and environmental consulting firm, is seeking a Senior Environmental Project Manager to join its Miami office. This role is ideal for an experienced professional who brings technical depth, strong leadership skills, and a client‑focused mindset to a wide range of environmental projects across South Florida and beyond.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as senior project personnel on complex environmental projects, providing technical oversight, project strategy, and quality control
  • Manage and mentor project staff, contributing to team development, workload planning, and performance growth
  • Act as a primary point of contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships through clear communication, responsiveness, and technical credibility
  • Lead and manage environmental projects from planning through execution, including scope, schedule, and budget oversight
  • Oversee remediation and site investigation activities, including Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments
  • Direct environmental sampling and monitoring programs and oversee data interpretation and reporting
  • Support design and implementation of remediation systems and corrective action plans
  • Manage permitting activities and coordination with regulatory agencies at the local, state, and federal levels
  • Provide expertise in the management of regulated contaminants, including PFAS
  • Support brownfield redevelopment projects by integrating environmental strategy with redevelopment goals
  • Participate in proposal development and client pursuits; prior business development experience is not required, but an interest in expanding client relationships is expected

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Geology, or a related field (advanced degree a plus)
  • Minimum of 10 years of environmental consulting experience
  • Professional credentials strongly preferred (PE, PG, and/or LEED AP)
  • Demonstrated experience leading and mentoring multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong client‑facing skills with the ability to clearly communicate technical concepts
  • Solid understanding of remediation practices, environmental regulations, and site assessment protocols
  • Experience working in Florida or similar regulatory environments is highly desirable
