Position: Senior Geotechnical Engineer

Location: On-site - Orange County, CA

Salary: $120-170k

They are seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join our dynamic and growing team. This is a key leadership role offering the opportunity to manage complex projects, mentor junior staff, and contribute to business development efforts. You'll work closely with their experienced team of engineers and geologists on a wide range of challenging and rewarding projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead geotechnical investigations, analyses, and report preparation for public and private sector projects.

  • Provide technical oversight and quality assurance on geotechnical design, including foundations, retaining structures, slope stability, and ground improvement.

  • Manage project schedules, budgets, and client relationships.

  • Coordinate with internal staff, subconsultants, contractors, and regulatory agencies.

  • Mentor junior engineers and support their professional development.

  • Participate in proposal preparation and support strategic business growth initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • B.S. in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering (M.S. preferred).

  • California Professional Engineer (PE) license required; GE license preferred.

  • 8+ years of progressive geotechnical engineering experience in California.

  • Strong understanding of local soil conditions, seismicity, and regulatory frameworks.

  • Proven project management experience and excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
