Our client is seeking an experienced and initiative‑taking Senior Hydraulic Engineer to support and lead open‑channel hydraulics work across several New England offices. What You'll Do
- Lead hydraulic studies for river, stream, and floodplain crossings associated with bridge and culvert projects.
- Conduct detailed scour analyses for new and existing bridge structures.
- Recommend appropriate scour protection and design measures for transportation and infrastructure projects.
- Use hydrologic and hydraulic modelling software including HEC‑RAS, HEC‑HMS, SRH‑2D, and GIS‑based mapping tools.
- Prepare technical reports, calculations, maps, modelling files, and regulatory documentation.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including structural, environmental, and construction groups.
- Provide mentorship, technical guidance, and quality review for junior engineering staff.
- Support the development of proposals and assist with client interactions as needed.

Qualifications
- BS or MS in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- 10+ years of relevant hydraulic / river mechanics experience.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Expertise in open‑channel hydraulics, modelling, and scour analysis.
