The position requires someone who can lead the visioning, design, and execution of sophisticated outdoor environments that elevate guest experiences, integrate seamlessly with architectural and interior concepts, and reflect the brand aspirations of hospitality clients around the world. The ideal candidate is a collaborative communicator, a creative problem solver, and an experienced advisor capable of guiding both clients and internal teams through complex, high‑profile projects.
Key Responsibilities
Design Leadership for Hospitality Environments
- Lead teams in creating transformative outdoor spaces for hotels, resorts, entertainment districts, and mixed‑use hospitality developments-balancing luxury, functionality, sustainability, and cultural relevance.
- Oversee the development of landscape concepts, detailed designs, and implementation documents that translate the project narrative into guest-focused outdoor experiences.
- Apply advanced knowledge of landscape architecture principles to craft outdoor amenities such as pools, gardens, plazas, wellness landscapes, outdoor dining environments, and event spaces.
Project & Team Management
- Collaborate with project leaders to define scope, develop work plans, and manage design schedules to ensure timely and high‑quality delivery.
- Supervise the production of drawings, graphics, specifications, and presentation materials that support hospitality client expectations.
- Coordinate with architects, interior designers, engineers, and consultants to ensure cohesive integration between indoor and outdoor environments-critical to hospitality design excellence.
Client & Stakeholder Engagement
- Serve as a primary point of contact for hospitality clients, maintaining clear and consistent communication across all project phases.
- Facilitate meetings, deliver presentations, and guide clients through design decisions, ensuring alignment with brand standards and operational needs.
- Apply effective negotiation skills to address key project issues and maintain positive stakeholder relationships.
Technical Oversight & Quality Assurance
- Lead the creation and review of complex technical documentation, ensuring compliance with quality standards, codes, and best practices.
- Review planting plans, materials, hardscape systems, lighting concepts, and water features to ensure both aesthetic and operational performance.
- Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress, address field questions, and verify design intent is properly implemented.
