We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to support diverse projects in government, education, transportation, and commercial markets. In this role, you will provide technical leadership, guide multidisciplinary teams, and help shape the mechanical engineering vision for a wide range of building types and applications.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage project teams in the design and execution of mechanical systems across multiple building sectors.
- Develop, review, and refine mechanical designs including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection, ensuring compliance with codes and industry standards.
- Partner closely with clients to understand objectives and deliver well‑crafted, effective engineering solutions.
- Apply advanced technical knowledge and stay current with evolving technologies to solve complex engineering challenges.
- Oversee quality assurance for design documents, calculations, and specifications.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources to maintain alignment with milestones and deliverables.
- Provide mentorship, technical guidance, and professional development support to junior engineering staff.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master's preferred).
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Maryland, or eligibility to obtain one within 6 months via comity.
- Minimum 16 years of mechanical engineering design and project management experience.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, and energy modeling tools.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients and project teams.
- U.S. citizenship required.

Expected Compensation Range: $120,000-$180,000 annually. Actual compensation will vary based on experience, skills, location, and other job‑related factors.
