Senior Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our fully remote team. This role is ideal for professionals with deep expertise in mechanical systems design for data centers, mission critical facilities, and high-performance infrastructure. You will lead engineering efforts from concept through construction, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative, resilient, and energy-efficient solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead mechanical design for data centers and mission critical facilities, including HVAC, chilled water systems, CRAC/CRAH units, and air distribution.
  • Develop and review mechanical system layouts, equipment selections, and specifications.
  • Perform load calculations, energy modeling, and CFD analysis to optimize system performance.
  • Coordinate with electrical, structural, and architectural teams to ensure integrated design solutions.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables across multiple concurrent projects.
  • Support commissioning activities and provide technical guidance during construction.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to internal knowledge sharing and process improvement.
  • Stay current with industry trends, codes, and technologies relevant to mission critical environments.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in mechanical design, with a focus on data centers or mission critical facilities.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and engineering analysis tools (e.g., Trace 700, IES, CFD software).
  • Strong understanding of ASHRAE standards, Uptime Institute Tier guidelines, and applicable building codes.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a remote, collaborative environment.
