Senior Project Manager - Mechanical Construction (Raleigh, NC)

Are you an experienced mechanical construction leader ready to take ownership of complex, high‑visibility projects? We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to oversee large‑scale mechanical construction work across commercial, industrial, and mission‑critical environments in the Raleigh market.

This role is ideal for a hands‑on, strategic leader who thrives in a collaborative, fast‑paced environment and takes pride in delivering high‑quality mechanical projects from pre‑construction through closeout.


What You'll Do

  • Lead large projects or multiple projects simultaneously with minimal oversight.
  • Manage pre‑construction activities, planning, and full project scheduling processes.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with general contractors, field project managers, owners, engineers, and architects to ensure project success.
  • Review and approve project budgets-including labor, material, and subcontractor allocations-with a focus on resource planning and cost control.
  • Oversee subcontractor management, contract negotiation, and procurement to ensure project timelines and financial goals are met.
  • Provide leadership to field teams, offer guidance in resolving design conflicts, and support all trades in executing high‑quality mechanical work.
  • Take ownership of project profitability, cash flow, and cost‑to‑complete tracking.
  • Solve complex challenges related to scheduling, coordination, and budgetary constraints alongside a multidisciplinary project team.

  • Extensive experience in mechanical construction project management, ideally including HVAC, plumbing, and process systems.
  • Proven ability to lead large, complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong communication and relationship‑building skills with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
  • High level of technical understanding, problem‑solving capability, and accountability.
  • Ability to work independently and thrive in a team‑oriented, performance‑driven environment.
  • Candidates with strong mechanical construction backgrounds and willingness to support projects across the region will be highly considered.
