POSITION SUMMARY - Project Scheduler
The Project Scheduler is responsible for developing, maintaining, and analyzing project schedules within a designated market segment, and reporting variances.
Essential Responsibilities & Duties of Project Scheduler

Schedule Development
- Develops proposal and pre-construction schedules
- Participates in project kickoff and start-up meetings
- Collaborates with project teams to develop the Project Execution Plan and Baseline Schedule
- Ensures compliance with contract documents and company policies
- Facilitates planning meetings and scheduling workshops
- Loads resources into schedule activities, ties back to project estimates, and performs resource leveling analysis
Project Schedule Update & Analysis
- Collects and inputs status updates
- Verifies site conditions to confirm reported progress
- Analyzes and reports changes to the critical path and other variances
- Forecasts future performance using production rates and resource demand data
- Identifies schedule risks and communicates them to the Project Manager
- Develops scheduling reports that support both client and internal needs
- Creates "what if" scenarios and workaround plans
- Documents changes and adverse conditions to support claims avoidance
- Participates in regular schedule reviews with the project scheduler and Financial Manager
Other Project Controls Tools
- Develops and maintains 4D models for projects and pursuits
- Performs productivity and production analysis
Improving Internal Capabilities
- Provides on-the-job scheduling training
- Contributes to an online FAQ system for self-help training resources
- Reviews and corrects resource loading for other projects as needed
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field, plus 4-7 years of relevant experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
- Exposure to construction logistics, techniques, materials, equipment, crew sizing, and sequencing preferred
- Experience across multiple construction markets (e.g., health care, automotive, civil, industrial, sports facilities) preferred
- Familiarity with scheduling software, especially Primavera P6, preferred
Location Flexibility
This role may be based anywhere in the United States. Candidates must be willing to be stationed at project sites across North America.
