The Role

As a Senior Technical Manager, you will provide technical leadership across a diverse portfolio of projects including:

  • Water Treatment Plant (WTP) upgrades and expansions

  • Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) upgrades and expansions

  • Advanced treatment facilities

  • Underground conveyance projects

  • Design-Build delivery projects

  • Traditional Design-Bid-Build projects

  • Collaborative delivery programmes

  • Sustainable and carbon-neutral infrastructure initiatives

You will work closely with project managers, engineering teams, and municipal clients to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest technical standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership on complex water and wastewater infrastructure projects.

  • Lead multidisciplinary engineering teams through planning, design, and delivery phases.

  • Oversee engineering deliverables and quality management processes.

  • Support project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and execution activities.

  • Serve as a trusted technical advisor to clients and internal stakeholders.

  • Mentor, develop, and support the growth of engineering staff.

  • Review and approve technical designs, studies, and engineering solutions.

  • Support business development and project pursuit activities.

  • Drive innovative, practical, and cost-effective solutions for municipal clients.

  • Ensure technical excellence across all phases of project delivery.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited programme.

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.

  • Minimum 10 years of relevant engineering experience.

  • Previous consulting engineering experience.

  • Strong experience delivering Water Treatment Plant (WTP) and Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) projects.

  • Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary engineering teams.

  • Strong technical expertise within the water and wastewater sector.

  • Experience managing client relationships and technical project delivery.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Demonstrated experience mentoring and developing technical staff.
