Senior Telecom Engineer
Job Function
Seeking a seasoned ICT Engineer with deep expertise in Inside Plant (ISP) and Outside Plant (OSP) infrastructure to lead and grow our telecommunications engineering practice. This role is critical in delivering high-quality structured cabling and fiber optic solutions for mission-critical infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will be passionate about telecom design, utility coordination, and project execution, and will serve as a technical lead and client liaison across multiple concurrent projects.
Education & Experience Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Telecommunications, or Civil Engineering (or related field)
- 5+ years of experience in ICT infrastructure design and engineering (ISP/OSP)
- RCDD certification highly desirable; PE license a plus
- Experience with telecom systems in data centers, campuses, commercial, or industrial environments
- Strong understanding of fiber optic networks, copper cabling, pathways, and spaces
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and/or MicroStation preferred
- Skilled in MS Office and project management tools
- Familiarity with Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) and utility coordination is a plus
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
Key Responsibilities
- Lead ISP/OSP design efforts including pathway layout, cable routing, and equipment placement
- Interface with clients to understand project requirements and provide technical guidance
- Conduct site surveys and utility reviews to support accurate design and risk mitigation
- Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and bill of materials
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring scope, schedule, and budget compliance
- Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders including utility providers
- Develop proposals, respond to RFPs/RFQs, and participate in client negotiations
- Oversee QA/QC processes to ensure high-quality deliverables
- Review invoices and prepare progress reports for clients
- Support business development and strategic growth initiatives
