Senior Traffic Engineer / Team Leader Brisbane

About the Role

You will be joining an established Queensland team and will play a key role in partially taking over leadership responsibilities while supporting the continued growth and development of the division.

This role will involve:

  • Leading and mentoring engineers and junior staff
  • Delivering high-quality Transport Advisory and Traffic Engineering projects
  • Supporting and strengthening team capability
  • Managing client relationships and stakeholder engagement
  • Assisting with business development and growth initiatives
  • Helping improve systems, processes, and technical standards
  • Contributing to strategic direction and leadership discussions

The role will have a strong focus on:

  • Land use planning and development advisory
  • Traffic impact assessments
  • Transport advisory services
  • Client relationship management
  • Team leadership and capability building

About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

  • 8-15+ years of Traffic Engineering and Transport Advisory experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
  • RPEQ registration (mandatory)
  • Strong experience in land use planning and development-related traffic engineering
  • Proven experience leading or mentoring teams
  • Strong communication and report writing skills
  • A proactive, solutions-focused, and commercially aware mindset
  • The ability to build strong relationships internally and externally
  • A genuine passion for leadership, growth, and developing people
