Senior Traffic Engineer / Team Leader Brisbane
About the Role
You will be joining an established Queensland team and will play a key role in partially taking over leadership responsibilities while supporting the continued growth and development of the division.
This role will involve:
- Leading and mentoring engineers and junior staff
- Delivering high-quality Transport Advisory and Traffic Engineering projects
- Supporting and strengthening team capability
- Managing client relationships and stakeholder engagement
- Assisting with business development and growth initiatives
- Helping improve systems, processes, and technical standards
- Contributing to strategic direction and leadership discussions
The role will have a strong focus on:
- Land use planning and development advisory
- Traffic impact assessments
- Transport advisory services
- Client relationship management
- Team leadership and capability building
About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
- 8-15+ years of Traffic Engineering and Transport Advisory experience
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
- RPEQ registration (mandatory)
- Strong experience in land use planning and development-related traffic engineering
- Proven experience leading or mentoring teams
- Strong communication and report writing skills
- A proactive, solutions-focused, and commercially aware mindset
- The ability to build strong relationships internally and externally
- A genuine passion for leadership, growth, and developing people
