Senior Wind Project Developer (m/f/d)
About the Role
We are working with a fast-growing Independent Power Producer that is expanding its onshore wind portfolio across Germany. To support this growth, we are seeking an experienced Senior Wind Project Developer (m/f/d) to take ownership of projects from early-stage identification through to ready-to-build.
This is a high-impact role with significant autonomy, where you will play a key part in shaping and delivering a strong greenfield pipeline.
Your Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end development of onshore wind projects (greenfield)
- Identify and secure suitable sites, including land acquisition and stakeholder management
- Drive permitting processes under BImSchG and manage all regulatory approvals
- Lead municipality and stakeholder engagement, including negotiations with landowners
- Support financial modelling, project valuation, and internal investment decisions
- Collaborate closely with engineering, construction, and commercial teams to bring projects to RTB
Your Profile:
- 7+ years of experience in onshore wind project development (Germany preferred)
- Strong track record in greenfield development and permitting
- Solid understanding of German regulatory frameworks (BImSchG, BauGB, EEG)
- Experience in land acquisition, stakeholder engagement, and negotiation
- Ability to manage multiple projects independently
- Fluency in German
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive and solution-oriented approach
