Position Overview:
The company is seeking an experienced finance leader to join as Director or Senior Director of Finance, focused on tax equity and structured finance. This individual will play a critical role in monetizing a growing pipeline and portfolio of renewable energy and storage projects through strategic financing solutions.
The ideal candidate will bring a deep network within the banking and financial community, leveraging relationships to secure tax equity partnerships and structured financing arrangements. This is a high-impact role that requires strong technical expertise in renewable energy finance, exceptional relationship-building skills, and the ability to execute complex transactions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead tax equity and structured finance transactions for renewable energy and storage projects, from origination through closing.
- Develop and maintain relationships with banks, tax equity investors, and other financial institutions to secure capital and optimize financing structures.
- Monetize the company's pipeline and operating assets through innovative financing solutions that maximize returns and minimize risk.
- Negotiate and structure complex agreements, including tax equity, debt financing, and other structured products.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with development, legal, and asset management teams to ensure seamless execution of financing strategies.
- Stay ahead of market trends in renewable energy finance, tax policy, and structured products to inform strategic decisions.
Qualifications:
- 6+ years of experience in renewable energy finance, investment banking, or structured finance, with a focus on tax equity transactions.
- Proven track record of closing tax equity and structured finance deals in the renewable energy sector.
- Strong network of relationships with banks, tax equity investors, and financial institutions.
- Deep understanding of tax equity structures, partnership flips, and renewable energy incentives.
- Exceptional negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or related field; MBA or CFA preferred.
