Structural / Building Envelope Consultant
Seeking an immediate hire to join a respected AEC consulting firm with a strong reputation for technical excellence, thoughtful problem‑solving, and a collaborative, people‑first culture. This role is based in Denver, Colorado. You will have the opportunity to work on existing facilities, assess structural and building envelope conditions, and contribute to high‑impact solutions for a wide range of clients.
The Structural / Building Envelope Consultant will be responsible for:
- Conducting detailed evaluations of structural and enclosure systems in existing buildings, incorporating field observations, as‑built documentation, and performance considerations into clear technical conclusions.
- Supporting investigations of building performance issues by developing testing strategies, documenting findings, and assisting in the development of repair recommendations.
- Preparing drawings, technical reports, and specifications that demonstrate strong accuracy, clarity, and consistency with best practices for existing facility assessment and enclosure detailing.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary team members to deliver high‑quality project outcomes from initial investigation through final documentation.
- Communicating technical insights to clients in a practical, solution‑oriented manner that helps inform decisions around building condition, risk, constructability, and long‑term performance.
The Structural / Building Envelope Consultant should have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a related field
- 3 to 8 years of professional experience in structural engineering, building envelope consulting, or related work with existing facilities
- Experience evaluating building systems, materials, and construction methods
- Strong interest in the assessment, repair, and performance of existing buildings
- EIT, PE, or RA required
