Structural Project Engineer I
We are seeking a licensed Structural Engineer with 4-6 years of experience to join our Portland office. This role is ideal for a technically strong engineer who enjoys working in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment, takes ownership of their work, and is interested in growing both technically and professionally.
You'll be involved in projects from early concept through construction, with meaningful responsibility in design development, coordination, and delivery.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support structural design efforts from conceptual planning through construction documentation
- Perform and review gravity and lateral system analysis and design for a wide range of building types
- Coordinate closely with architectural, civil, landscape, interior, and MEP consultants
- Assist in assembling and coordinating complete sets of construction documents for small to mid‑size projects
- Manage personal workload and contribute to the planning and direction of discipline‑specific tasks
- Support project delivery with a strong focus on quality, constructability, and clarity
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master's preferred)
- 4-6 years of relevant structural engineering experience
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- Solid working knowledge of applicable codes and standards, including ASCE 7, ASCE 41, ACI, and AISC
- Experience designing with steel, concrete, wood, and lateral systems
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Open‑minded, curious, and receptive to new ideas and challenges

- Experience with steel‑intensive projects, including manufacturing, industrial, or semiconductor facilities
