Sign-On Incentives:
- $10,000 for Lead Technicians
- $5,000 for Assistant Technicians
Role Overview:
This position involves overseeing the installation, testing, and maintenance of substation protection and control systems. The Lead Technician will manage a field crew, ensure project timelines are met, and work with a variety of electrical and communication equipment used in substations.
Key Duties:
- Lead field crews and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
- Analyze and improve protection schemes
- Test and commission microprocessor relays and PLC systems
- Perform SCADA system verifications and RTU configurations
- Interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
- Develop isolation and cut-over plans
- Maintain accurate documentation and test records
- Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders
Qualifications:
- OSHA 30 Certification or equivalent
- Strong knowledge of protection zones and CT circuits
- Advanced troubleshooting skills
- Experience with relay testing and SCADA systems
- Ability to read and interpret complex electrical drawings
- Strong leadership and communication skills
