Superintendent

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee construction activities to ensure the project is executed in alignment with design specifications, budget constraints, and the established schedule.
  • Take charge of planning, coordinating, and supervising on-site operations, including scheduling and subcontractor coordination.
  • Ensure that craft workers and subcontractors comply with contract requirements, make efficient use of materials and equipment, and meet project schedule milestones.
  • Provide technical support as needed, including interpreting drawings and recommending construction methods and equipment.
  • Assist project management in developing the project schedule, site logistics plan, and implementing project procedures, working documents, and standards.
  • Support and enforce the Site-Specific Safety Plan.
  • Coordinate with on-site representatives of the Owner.
  • Perform additional tasks as directed by the supervisor.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
  • At least 20 years of supervisory field experience on large-scale heavy civil infrastructure projects valued at over $300 million.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience as a construction superintendent or in craft supervision for new building construction, including work with piles, concrete, structural steel, and a strong focus on mechanical installations.
  • In-depth knowledge of U.S. construction practices, techniques, and standards.
  • Experience working with City, State, and Federal Government clients is preferred.
  • Familiarity with contract management and local trade unions/craft labor.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Procure, Bluebeam, and HCSS HeavyBid.
  • OSHA certification and First Aid certification required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
