Position Overview:
 A nationally recognized mechanical and industrial contractor is seeking a Superintendent to oversee field operations for construction projects in Charleston, SC. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader with a strong background in managing crews, maintaining safety standards, and delivering high-quality work on schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct and supervise daily field operations, ensuring work is performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project plans and specifications.
- Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and vendors to maintain workflow and resolve issues.
- Enforce safety protocols and conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance.
- Monitor labor productivity, material usage, and equipment needs to optimize performance.
- Maintain accurate documentation including daily reports, timekeeping, and progress tracking.
- Serve as the primary on-site contact for client representatives and inspectors.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in construction supervision, preferably in mechanical or industrial sectors.
- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to manage diverse teams.
- Proven track record of delivering projects safely, on time, and within budget.
- Familiarity with construction scheduling and reporting tools.
- OSHA certification and strong knowledge of safety regulations.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or associate degree preferred.
