Survey CAD Technician
My client, a national land survey firm with over 800 employees, is looking to add a Survey CAD Technician to their growing Charlotte team. This group supports large-scale projects across commercial, land development, and community infrastructure, with a strong presence throughout the Southeast. The Survey CAD Technician would be responsible for:
- Preparing boundary, topographic, ALTA, and construction survey drawings
- Processing field data and producing accurate deliverables using AutoCAD/Carlson or similar software
- Collaborating closely with survey crews, project managers, and clients
- Maintaining drafting standards and ensuring quality control across all plans
- Assisting with platting, staking calculations, and record research as needed
The Survey CAD Technician should have the following qualifications:
- 2+ years of survey drafting/CAD experience
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Carlson, or related software
- Strong understanding of land surveying principles and terminology
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Detail-oriented with solid communication skills
- Experience with commercial and land development projects preferred
