Vice President of Operations
Position Overview:
The Vice President of Operations is responsible for driving operational excellence across multiple branch locations throughout the Northeast U.S. This role requires a strategic leader who can effectively manage branch managers, optimize service routes, and oversee field service teams dedicated to aquatic management and environmental solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide strategic leadership to branch managers, ensuring alignment with company operational goals, safety standards, and client satisfaction.
Develop and implement operational strategies aimed at maximizing productivity, service quality, and profitability.
Oversee service route optimization, workforce scheduling, and resource allocation to enhance efficiency.
Establish and monitor operational KPIs, implementing continuous improvement processes to achieve performance objectives.
Drive compliance with environmental, safety, and regulatory requirements across all service operations.
Foster a collaborative and high-performing operational culture through training, mentorship, and effective communication.
Act as a senior point of escalation for resolving operational challenges and ensuring client expectations are consistently met or exceeded.
Collaborate closely with sales, business development, and finance teams to align operational capacity with strategic growth objectives.
Qualifications:
10+ years of senior operational leadership experience, ideally managing multi-site teams in service-oriented businesses (aquatic management, environmental services, landscaping, facilities management, or similar).
Proven track record of successfully leading decentralized teams and optimizing field operations.
Demonstrated expertise in route planning, resource scheduling, and workforce management.
Strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities, with the ability to interpret operational data to inform decision-making.
Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire and develop teams.
Familiarity with regulatory and safety standards relevant to field-based environmental or aquatic services preferred.
Bachelor's degree in business, management, environmental science, or a related field preferred.
