A Midwest water treatment company is seeking a Field Service Engineer to support water treatment applications in industrial markets across the Minnesota territory, based in or near the Twin Cities area. The engineer will provide advanced troubleshooting, optimization, and consultation to ensure high-quality service and customer satisfaction, collaborating with the Sales Engineer in the region. This can be a more senior technician or junior sales person that will train under the local sales manager. Responsibilities include maintaining mechanical systems, supporting installations, and identifying new business opportunities. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to safety and performance standards.
Responsibilities
- Provide expert consultation on customer water treatment chemical applications for optimal performance of boilers, cooling towers, and closed loop systems.
- Chemical dosing and testing on systems.
- Support new installations, calibrations, and remote monitoring technologies.
- Maintain and troubleshoot mechanical systems including pumps, piping, and chemical feed systems.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and internal sales teams.
- Deliver technical training and comprehensive service reports using company tools.
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in maintenance and water treatment.
- Deep knowledge of cooling, boiler, and closed-loop systems
- Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software for reporting and presentations.
