CMT Department Manager
CMT Department Manager - Florida, Jacksonville
We're partnered with a fast-scaling, industry-disrupting firm that's making serious noise in the CMT & geotechnical space.
In a short space of time, they've grown to 200+ employees and are backed by a globally recognised organisation - giving them the financial strength, infrastructure, and ambition to expand rapidly across the Southeast.
As part of that growth, they're looking to hire a CMT Department Manager to take full ownership of a division in Florida.
This isn't a standard management role - it's an opportunity to build, lead, and scale your own business unit.
The Role
- Full ownership of a CMT department (P&L responsibility)
- Build, hire, and develop your own team
- Lead business development and drive regional growth
- Oversee operations, projects, and client relationships
- Operate with genuine autonomy - no micromanagement
What They're Looking For
- Strong background in CMT (Construction Materials Testing)
- Leadership experience (Team Lead → Department Manager level)
- Commercial mindset - comfortable driving revenue and growth
- Ability to build client relationships and win work
- Entrepreneurial attitude - someone who wants to run a business, not just manage projects
What's On Offer
- $135k - $170k base salary
- Strong bonus structure (tied to company + department performance)
- 5-8 weeks PTO
- Fully covered healthcare
- Backing, resources, and investment to scale properly - not a "do more with less" environment
