Position Title: Principal Consultant / Consultancy Manager - Renewable Energy
Location: Brisbane, Australia

Role Overview:
They are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Principal Consultant or Consultancy Manager to lead technical due diligence and advisory services for renewable energy projects. This Brisbane-based role will play a key part in supporting project development and financing, engaging with stakeholders across the public and private sectors, and contributing to strategic growth in the region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage technical due diligence for solar, wind, and hybrid energy projects.
  • Deliver high-quality assessments, reports, and recommendations to support investment decisions.
  • Interface with financial institutions, developers, and EPCs to ensure project bankability and compliance.
  • Monitor and interpret local market trends, regulatory developments, and financing structures.
  • Support business development activities and client relationship management.
  • Mentor junior consultants and contribute to internal knowledge sharing and process improvement.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in the renewable energy sector, with a strong technical foundation.
  • Demonstrated expertise in technical due diligence and advisory for utility-scale projects.
  • Familiarity with Australian energy markets and local financing environments.
  • Strong network or experience working with banks, DFIs, or financial institutions.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Degree in engineering, renewable energy, or a related technical field; postgraduate qualifications are a plus.
