My client is seeking an experienced Department Manager to lead a Civil/Site team in the growing Dallas-Fort Worth market. This leadership position will oversee all operational, technical, and business development aspects of the department, focusing on land development projects across residential, commercial, and industrial sectors.

As Department Manager, you will drive team performance, ensure high-quality project delivery, and foster client relationships. This role offers the opportunity to shape strategy, mentor staff, and contribute to the success of a dynamic, multidisciplinary organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the Site/Civil department, including staff development and resource allocation.
  • Oversee design for land development, stormwater management, and erosion control.
  • Ensure quality control and regulatory compliance for all projects.
  • Prepare proposals, budgets, and schedules; manage financial performance.
  • Build and maintain client relationships; support business development initiatives.
  • Mentor and train technical staff to promote growth and excellence.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
  • 12+ years of relevant experience in residential and commercial land development.
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required.
  • Expertise in stormwater management, grading, and site development design.
  • Proficiency in Civil 3D and familiarity with local regulations.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
