A respected general contractor in the Seattle area is seeking a skilled Heavy Civil Project Manager/Estimator to join their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a construction professional with strong leadership and estimating capabilities to contribute to impactful infrastructure projects across the region.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, execution, and completion of heavy civil construction projects.
  • Develop accurate cost estimates and competitive bid proposals.
  • Collaborate with engineers, clients, and field teams to ensure project success.
  • Monitor budgets, schedules, and performance metrics throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Conduct site visits and manage subcontractor relationships.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, contract requirements, and regulatory guidelines.

Experience Required

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in heavy civil construction project management and estimating.
  • Background in projects such as highways, bridges, utilities, earthwork, and site development.
  • Experience with public works and DOT projects is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with construction scheduling, cost control, and field operations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., HCSS, HeavyBid) and project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
  • Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to job sites as needed.
