Heavy Civil Quality Control (QC) Manager
Location: Boise, Idaho
Salary Range: $80,000-$120,000 (dependent on experience)
A well‑established heavy civil general contractor is seeking an experienced Quality Control Manager to support ongoing and upcoming civil infrastructure projects in the Boise area. This role is critical to ensuring work is executed safely, accurately, and in full compliance with project specifications and regulatory requirements.
Experience Needed
- Quality control oversight on heavy civil construction projects, including earthwork, utilities, concrete, roadway, and transportation scopes
- Managing and implementing project‑specific Quality Control Plans (QCPs)
- Oversight of field inspections, testing, and documentation to ensure compliance with contract documents
- Coordinating with project management, superintendents, subcontractors, and third‑party testing agencies
- Experience supporting DOT, municipal, or other public works projects
- Reviewing drawings, specifications, and work plans to proactively identify quality risks
Qualifications Required
- Proven experience in a Quality Control, Quality Assurance, or similar role within heavy civil construction
- Strong understanding of construction means and methods, materials testing, and inspection procedures
- Familiarity with applicable codes, specifications, and regulatory standards
- Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and contract documents
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- OSHA knowledge and commitment to jobsite safety
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred (or equivalent field experience)
