Hydraulic Engineer

This role involves leading hydrologic and hydraulic (H&H) design efforts for transportation systems, stormwater management, and flood mitigation initiatives.

Responsibilities:
- Design hydraulic systems for bridges, culverts, and stormwater infrastructure
- Collaborate with transportation and municipal teams on roadway and pedestrian projects
- Develop flood mitigation strategies and drainage solutions
- Apply state and local engineering standards and practices
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in hydrologic and hydraulic design
- Engineer Intern (EI) certification required; Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
- Proficiency in GIS and design software such as OpenRoads Designer or Civil3D
- Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving
Preferred Experience:
- 2D flood modeling using HEC-RAS
- Best Management Practices (BMP) inspection and design
- CMF certification
- Experience working with public agencies and client stakeholders
