Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage research initiatives related to overhead transmission line design and performance.
  • Utilize PLS-CADD and other modeling tools to develop innovative solutions to complex transmission engineering challenges.
  • Apply technical expertise in overhead transmission line design, conductors, structures, and associated hardware.
  • Conduct technical studies focused on grid reliability, resilience, and modernization.
  • Collaborate with utilities, industry stakeholders, and international partners on research projects and technical initiatives.
  • Present technical findings through workshops, conferences, meetings, and webinars.
  • Author technical reports, industry publications, and research papers.
  • Identify emerging industry challenges and develop valuable research opportunities.
  • Provide mentor ship and technical guidance to junior engineers and project teams.
  • Support and manage multiple technical projects, ensuring deliverables are completed on schedule and within scope.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • 7+ years of experience in overhead transmission line design, conductors, or related transmission engineering disciplines.
  • Strong proficiency with PLS-CADD and transmission line modeling software.
  • Proven experience managing and delivering complex technical projects.
  • Deep understanding of transmission line components, emergency restoration practices, and advanced design methodologies.
  • Strong technical writing, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Experience working with utilities, consultants, manufacturers, research organizations, or industry groups.
  • Ability to work independently and lead technical initiatives with minimal supervision.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
