Project Manager - Asphalt
We are currently working closely with a leading construction company who are seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Manager to lead and deliver asphalt-related civil construction projects across multiple locations. This role requires a hands-on leader with strong technical and project management skills, capable of overseeing all aspects of asphalt works-from planning and execution to quality control and client liaison. Travel is a key component of this role, with site visits and stakeholder engagement across various project locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end delivery of asphalt projects, including road resurfacing, pavement rehabilitation, and new construction.
- Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure timely and cost-effective project execution.
- Conduct site inspections, monitor progress, and ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
- Prepare and manage project schedules, budgets, and resource allocations.
- Lead project meetings, report on milestones, and resolve issues proactively.
- Ensure accurate documentation and reporting throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support tender preparation and contribute to business development efforts.
- Travel regularly to project sites for supervision, client meetings, and quality assurance.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in civil construction, with a focus on asphalt and pavement projects.
- Proven experience in project management, including budgeting, scheduling, and team coordination.
- Strong understanding of asphalt materials, construction techniques, and equipment.
- Willingness and ability to travel frequently to project sites.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, or similar).
- Valid driver's license and ability to work in outdoor and remote environments.
