Project Manager - Data Center

Our client is a growing owner's representative and project management consultancy supporting the delivery of large-scale mission critical developments. Due to continued growth and an active pipeline of data centrer projects, they are seeking a Project Manager to oversee a major development in Kansas.

This is an opportunity to work directly on the ownership side of the table, managing project delivery, protecting client interests, and driving projects from planning through completion.

The Role

As Project Manager, you will act as the client's representative throughout the project lifecycle, coordinating with architects, engineers, contractors, and key stakeholders to ensure successful delivery.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing all phases of data centre development from pre-construction through commissioning and handover.
  • Serving as the primary point of contact between ownership, design teams, general contractors, and consultants.
  • Monitoring project schedules, budgets, risks, and overall performance.
  • Leading project meetings and coordinating stakeholder communication.
  • Reviewing design progress, procurement activities, construction updates, and change management processes.
  • Identifying and mitigating project risks before they impact programme or cost.
  • Ensuring quality, safety, and contractual compliance throughout project execution.
  • Providing regular reporting and executive updates to ownership teams.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of project management experience within construction, engineering, or development.
  • Experience delivering data centre, mission critical, industrial, advanced manufacturing, or similarly complex projects.
  • Strong understanding of project controls, budgeting, scheduling, and contract administration.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and drive accountability across project teams.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred.

What's on Offer

    • Opportunity to work on the owner's side rather than for a contractor.
    • Exposure to a high-profile, large-scale data center development.
    • Significant project responsibility and client-facing involvement.
    • Collaborative environment with direct access to decision-makers.
    • Long-term career growth.
