Remote Building Automation Design Engineer
I'm working with a growing building automation company looking to add an experienced BAS Design Engineer to its team.
This is a fully remote position working on complex, mission-critical projects across the US. You'll be responsible for producing accurate building automation designs and controls documentation, while working closely with project managers, engineers, programmers and field teams to make sure projects are delivered properly.
The role would suit someone who understands how building automation systems come together, not just someone who can use AutoCAD. You'll need to be comfortable reviewing mechanical plans, interpreting sequences of operation and developing clear controls drawings that can be used by the wider project team.
What they're looking for:
✅ 3+ years of building automation design experience
✅ Strong AutoCAD experience
✅ Experience producing BAS control drawings, wiring diagrams and system layouts
✅ A solid understanding of HVAC systems and building controls
✅ Experience interpreting mechanical plans and sequences of operation
✅ Knowledge of controllers, sensors, networks and control panels
✅ Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage your own workload remotely
Experience working on mission-critical projects, such as data centres, healthcare facilities or other high-availability environments, would be highly valued.
