Senior Construction Manager - CEI

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Senior Construction Manager to lead CEI operations for transportation infrastructure projects in the Austin region. This role will be responsible for managing field inspection teams, ensuring contractor compliance with TxDOT standards, and delivering high-quality project outcomes on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead CEI services for roadway, bridge, and civil infrastructure projects in accordance with TxDOT specifications.
  • Supervise and mentor field staff, including inspectors, engineers, and subconsultants.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for TxDOT, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Monitor construction activities for quality, safety, schedule, and contract compliance.
  • Review and approve contractor pay estimates, change orders, RFIs, and submittals.
  • Conduct regular site visits and lead progress meetings.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed project documentation and reports.
  • Support proposal development and business development efforts for CEI pursuits.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in transportation construction management, with at least 5 years in a CEI leadership role.
  • Strong working knowledge of TxDOT standards, specifications, and procedures.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas preferred.
  • TxDOT Precerts in applicable categories (e.g., 11.1.1, 11.2.1, 11.3.1) strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in SiteManager, Primavera, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
