A well-established multidisciplinary consulting engineering firm is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer (PE) to serve as a technical leader within its growing MEP team. This position will provide engineering oversight, lead complex electrical designs, mentor junior staff, and serve as Engineer of Record on a variety of projects across multiple market sectors.
Responsibilities
- Lead electrical design and technical review for complex projects
- Serve as Engineer of Record and stamp electrical drawings
- Perform power system studies, including short circuit, coordination, and arc flash analyses
- Establish and maintain engineering standards and QA/QC processes
- Mentor engineers and designers across the electrical team
- Participate in client meetings, design reviews, and project pursuits
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on integrated building systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required (Florida PE or ability to obtain via endorsement)
- 10+ years of MEP consulting engineering experience
- Strong knowledge of NEC, NFPA, and applicable building codes
- Experience with Revit MEP and SKM or ETAP
- Proven technical leadership and mentoring experience
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills
Preferred Experience
- Healthcare, education, government, aviation, commercial, industrial, or mission-critical facilities
- Multi-state PE licensure
- Low-voltage systems and fire alarm design
- LEED accreditation
