Senior Plumbing Engineer
Location: Kennesaw, GA
A respected multidisciplinary architecture and engineering consulting firm is seeking a Senior Plumbing Engineer to lead the design and delivery of plumbing systems for a diverse portfolio of commercial, educational, civic, and institutional projects. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer looking to take ownership of projects, mentor junior staff, and play a key role in client relationships and project success.
Responsibilities
- Lead plumbing system design for new construction and renovation projects.
- Prepare construction documents, specifications, and technical calculations.
- Design domestic water, sanitary waste, vent, storm drainage, and specialty plumbing systems.
- Coordinate with architects, mechanical, electrical, structural, and civil teams.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
- Mentor and develop junior engineers and designers.
- Participate in client meetings, presentations, and business development efforts.
- Support construction administration activities, including submittal reviews and site visits.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline.
- 8+ years of plumbing design experience within a consulting engineering environment.
- Strong understanding of plumbing codes, industry standards, and best practices.
- Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, and construction document production.
- Experience leading projects and coordinating multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Experience with education, commercial, civic, healthcare, or institutional projects.
- Project management experience.
- Ability to mentor junior engineering staff and support business growth initiatives.
