We currently have multiple openings for Senior Professional Electrical Engineers to support federal projects, which require U.S. Citizenship.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop designs for electric master system plans, power systems, protection and generation models, facility power systems, and renewable energy systems.
- Conduct power system studies and perform calculations for electrical systems, lighting, communications, fire alarm, and security systems.
- Prepare technical documentation and white papers to support internal knowledge sharing.
- Perform site visits and studies to ensure design alignment with project specifications.
- Collaborate with business development teams to prepare proposals and meet with clients to understand their design needs.
- Represent LVI at industry conferences and events to promote our services.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to support their development.
- May supervise junior staff on project work.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, Electrical Technology, or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- At least 7 years of relevant experience.
- Willingness to travel domestically and/or internationally as needed.
- Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience designing power systems for water, wastewater, industrial, federal, or transit facilities.
- Proficiency in medium and low-voltage power distribution system design.
- Familiarity with NEC, NFPA, NESC, IEEE, UFC, and other relevant codes and standards.
- Experience using SKM Power Tools for Windows and ETAP for power system analysis.
Skills and Abilities:
- Expertise in CADD (3D/4D) software and design principles.
- Strong command of Microsoft Office tools.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Deep understanding of federal, state, and local regulations.
