Position Overview
As an Air Quality Specialist, you will play a key, hands-on role in delivering permitting, modeling, and compliance support. You will bring strong Texas regulatory expertise and help expand capabilities into New Mexico and other U.S. regions.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare air permit applications, including Permits by Rule (PBRs)
- Perform air dispersion modeling (AERMOD required)
- Conduct emissions calculations and regulatory applicability analyses
- Support compliance with TCEQ and New Mexico regulations
- Draft reports and submit documentation to regulatory agencies
- Advise clients on compliance strategies and project execution
- Collaborate with internal teams and support multi-state projects
Qualifications
- Bachelor's (or higher) in Environmental, Chemical, or related Engineering field
- 8-12 years of experience (consulting strongly preferred)
- Strong experience with Texas air permitting (PBR focus)
- Experience with AERMOD modeling
- Knowledge of New Mexico regulations
- Background in oil & gas or chemical industry
- Familiarity with NSR, Title V, PSD, NSPS, NESHAP
Preferred
- Master's degree or research experience
- Multi-state permitting experience (Northeast/Northwest a plus)
- Strong technical writing and ability to manage multiple projects
