About the Role
A leading water technology business is seeking an experienced National Sales Manager to lead and grow its commercial presence across Australia.
This role will be responsible for driving sales performance across industrial and municipal customers, delivering advanced water and wastewater treatment technologies including reverse osmosis (RO), membrane aerated biofilm reactor (MABR) systems, anaerobic digestion and biological treatment solutions.
Reporting into the APAC Vice President, you will play a pivotal role in shaping national sales strategy, managing key client relationships, supporting project pursuits, and expanding market penetration across priority sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and deliver the national sales strategy across Australia, aligned to broader APAC growth objectives
- Drive revenue growth across industrial and municipal customers, including utilities, councils, industrial operators, EPCs and developers
- Lead sales efforts for a portfolio of water and wastewater treatment technologies, including:
- Reverse Osmosis (RO) and advanced membrane systems
- MABR and biological treatment processes
- Anaerobic digestion and energy‑positive treatment solutions
- Manage complex sales cycles from early engagement through to contract close, including technical and commercial solution positioning
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, decision‑makers, consultants, and delivery partners
- Work closely with engineering, project delivery, and regional leadership teams to support bids, proposals and project execution
- Identify new market opportunities, emerging technologies and strategic partnerships
- Support forecasting, pipeline management, and reporting to regional leadership
- Represent the business at industry events, conferences and client forums
About You
You will be a commercially driven sales leader with strong technical understanding of water and wastewater treatment technologies.
Essential Experience:
- Proven experience in sales, business development or commercial leadership within the water, wastewater or environmental technology sector
- Track record of selling to industrial and/or municipal markets in Australia
- Experience managing complex, solution‑based sales cycles involving technical products and long lead times
- Strong understanding of water and wastewater treatment processes and infrastructure
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
Highly Regarded:
- Exposure to technologies such as RO, membranes, biological treatment, or anaerobic digestion
- Experience working with utilities, councils, EPCs or industrial end‑users
- Comfort operating in a regional or matrixed organisation
- Background collaborating with engineering or technical teams to shape solutions
