Position Overview:
LVI Associates is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Architectural Consultant on behalf of our client for their San Francisco office. This is an excellent opportunity for early-career professionals or recent graduates in architecture or engineering to gain hands-on experience in architecture, project management, and construction consulting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the evaluation of existing buildings and new construction.
- Conduct field observations for condition assessments, construction loan monitoring, and new development.
- Review architectural plans for code compliance, construction adequacy, detailing, and system coordination.
- Assist in preparing cost evaluations for both new and existing construction.
- Perform replacement cost evaluations for existing buildings.
- Contribute to the development of architectural/engineering repair documents.
- Work across a range of commercial building types, including office, retail, industrial, hospitality, and multifamily.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in an architecture, engineering, or construction setting.
- Progress toward AXP requirements and/or ARE exams (for architectural candidates).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and Bluebeam.
- Working knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, and Autodesk Construction Cloud.
- Familiarity with Photoshop, Illustrator, and SketchUp is a plus.
- Solid understanding of building materials, systems, and construction methods.
- Developing ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
