Role Summary
This role is responsible for maximising the financial performance, valuation, and long‑term strategic positioning of a portfolio of data centre assets. The Manager, Asset Management will develop and maintain robust financial models, monitor asset‑level performance, and produce insights that support investment decisions, commercial strategies, and portfolio planning.
The position works closely with cross‑functional teams including Finance, Commercial, Development, and Engineering to ensure assets consistently achieve strong financial outcomes while remaining competitive and operationally resilient.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and enhance financial models, cash flow forecasts, and scenario analyses for both operational and development‑stage data centre assets.
- Monitor asset performance by analysing key financial and operational metrics, including utilisation, revenue, operating costs, energy efficiency, availability, and power usage effectiveness (PUE).
- Prepare regular asset management reports and performance reviews for internal stakeholders and senior leadership.
- Collaborate with engineering, facilities, finance, and commercial teams to ensure alignment on asset performance targets and strategic priorities.
- Support investment evaluations, pricing reviews, expansion and capacity planning, and lifecycle capital expenditure analysis.
- Produce asset dashboards, valuations, business plans, and presentation materials for management and board‑level discussions.
- Conduct market, competitor, and industry research to inform asset‑level strategy and long‑term portfolio planning.
- Contribute to environmental, social, and governance (ESG) monitoring and sustainability reporting across the asset portfolio.
- Partner with internal and external stakeholders to identify value‑creation initiatives and performance improvement opportunities.
- Support monthly and quarterly reporting cycles and undertake ad‑hoc analysis or cross‑functional projects as required.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- At least 5 years of experience in asset management, infrastructure finance, real estate private equity, or data centre‑related financial roles.
- Advanced financial modelling and analytical skills, with strong proficiency in Excel.
- Proven ability to translate technical and operational information into clear financial insights.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with senior stakeholders and cross‑functional teams.
