Position: Assistant Project Manager
The Assistant Project Manager plays an essential role in coordinating project activities between office and field teams. This position ensures field crews are prepared for daily assignments, manages incoming data, and helps create final deliverables for clients. Strong communication, organization, and technical capability are key to success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate with Field Crews on required daily data collection.
- Organize, review, and edit survey data for accuracy.
- Prepare and deliver finalized project documents to clients.
- Communicate regularly with Project Managers and clients.
- Perform drafting, calculations, and project research as needed.
- Attend project meetings and briefings.
- Maintain task lists and help manage project workflow.
- Provide support or coverage for the Project Manager when required.
- Assist with estimating, proposals, and occasional fieldwork.
Qualifications
- 2‑year degree with 3-5 years of related surveying experience or 5-7 years of direct surveying experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple data sets and projects simultaneously.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency with Carlson, CAD software, Microsoft Word, Excel, and similar tools.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
