BAS Controls System Specialist - Travel
Position: BAS / Controls Technician
Location: Georgia
Building Automation Systems (BAS) and controls solutions across commercial and mission-critical sites in Georgia. This field-based role is ideal for a technician with hands-on experience in Tridium, Distech, or EcoStruxure platforms who enjoys working on-site and solving complex technical challenges.
Role Overview
The BAS / Controls Technician will be responsible for installing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and supporting BAS and controls systems. The role involves regular travel to client sites within Georgia, working independently or as part of a project team to ensure systems are delivered to specification and performance standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and commission BAS and controls systems
- Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs
- Conduct functional testing and system validation
- Interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and specifications
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors
- Document work performed, including daily reports and test results
- Provide technical support and training to end users
- Ensure compliance with safety and site protocols
Preferred Experience
- Hands-on experience with Tridium Niagara, Distech Controls, or Schneider EcoStruxure platforms
- Familiarity with open protocols such as BACnet, Modbus, and SNMP
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems and integration with BAS
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite and mobile field tools
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Strong communication skills (technical and non-technical)
Education & Experience
- Associate's degree or technical certification in a related field
OR equivalent hands-on experience - Minimum 3 years of experience in BAS/controls installation and service
- Experience working independently in field environments
