We are seeking a Senior Project Engineer to support the delivery of battery energy storage projects across Japan.

This role will focus on ensuring technical excellence throughout the development, construction, and operational phases of projects.

You will work closely with internal stakeholders including development, procurement, trading, and operations teams, as well as external contractors and partners.

Reporting to the Japan Engineering Manager, you will play a key role in delivering projects on time, within budget, and in line with performance expectations.

3) Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive engineering support across all project phases to ensure successful delivery.

- Collaborate with procurement teams to develop and maintain equipment and design standards aligned with cost and performance objectives.

- Evaluate new project opportunities through technical feasibility assessments including site visits and desktop analysis.

- Prepare and optimize design solutions including system sizing, layouts, and equipment selection.

- Support grid connection applications and related approval processes.

4) Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical preferred) or equivalent qualification.

- Minimum 5 years of experience in energy, engineering consultancy, or construction sectors.
