BIM Manager - Mechanical Construction

An established and rapidly growing mechanical contractor specialising in HVAC, piping, and plumbing systems is seeking an experienced BIM Manager to lead and develop its digital engineering capabilities.
This is a high-impact opportunity to take ownership of BIM strategy across major commercial and industrial projects, including healthcare, data centers, manufacturing, and institutional builds.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the BIM/VDC function across multiple projects and project teams
Oversee the development and coordination of 3D models for HVAC, piping, and plumbing systems
Drive clash detection processes and coordinate with GCs, architects, and subcontractors using Revit
Establish and implement BIM standards, workflows, and best practices across the business
Mentor and develop a growing team of BIM coordinators and detailers
Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and field teams to ensure constructability and efficiency
Support preconstruction and estimating teams with model-based planning and take-offs
Stay ahead of industry trends in BIM, VDC, and digital construction technologies
What We're Looking For
Proven experience in a BIM/VDC leadership role within a mechanical contractor environment
Strong background in HVAC and piping systems design and coordination
Expert-level proficiency in Revit, and BIM 360 / ACC
Experience managing teams and implementing BIM processes company-wide
Strong understanding of construction workflows, coordination cycles, and field integration
Ability to communicate effectively with both technical teams and senior leadership
Experience working on large-scale commercial or industrial projects (e.g., healthcare, data centers, mission-critical, manufacturing)
