About the Role
We are seeking a motivated professional to join our team as a Building Envelope Consultant. This role combines technical expertise, problem-solving, and client engagement to diagnose and resolve complex building envelope challenges. You will work on historic and modern structures, ensuring safety, performance, and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Investigate and resolve building envelope issues through on-site assessments, testing, and forensic analysis.
  • Manage a portfolio of client projects, ensuring timely delivery of proposals, reports, budgets, and presentations.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to develop practical solutions.
  • Lead and coach team members to achieve project goals and maintain high standards.
  • Conduct site visits across Boston, including historic properties and high-rise structures.
  • Perform hands-on tasks such as leak testing, photography, and occasional physical work (e.g., climbing ladders, using tools).
  • Ensure compliance with Boston and Massachusetts building codes and intervene when safety or quality standards are not met.
  • Create clear, well-organized documents, CAD drawings, and spreadsheets for client presentations.

Qualifications

  • PE License (Professional Engineer) preferred
  • 5+ years of experience
  • Strong experience in building envelope systems and restoration
  • Curiosity and analytical skills to solve complex technical problems.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Strong communication skills for building lasting client and team relationships.
  • Proficiency in document layout, CAD, and spreadsheet tools.
