A well-established, forward-thinking building envelope consultancy is seeking a Project Manager with a strong background in façade and exterior systems to lead and manage projects across New York City. This is a unique opportunity to work on high-impact assignments, particularly within the scope of NYC's Façade Inspection Safety Program (FISP).
Role Overview
As a Building Envelope Project Manager, you will oversee a portfolio of consulting projects focused on the assessment and restoration of building envelope systems. You'll collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and property owners to deliver technically sound and regulatory-compliant solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage building envelope consulting projects from inception to completion
Conduct façade inspections and assessments in accordance with FISP requirements
Prepare technical reports, drawings, and specifications for repair and restoration
Coordinate with clients, contractors, and city agencies to ensure project success
Provide quality assurance and review of field investigations and construction activities
Mentor junior staff and contribute to internal knowledge development
Ideal Candidate Profile
4-6 years in building envelope consulting, with a strong focus on NYC-based FISP projects
Registered Architect (RA) or Professional Engineer (PE) preferred but not required
Proficiency in façade systems, waterproofing, roofing, and exterior restoration
Familiarity with NYC DOB regulations, FISP cycles, and local construction practices
Strong communication, project management, and client-facing abilities
Degree in Architecture, Engineering, or related field
