Role Overview
The firm is seeking an experienced professional to join its Building Envelope division, focusing on façade inspection, restoration, and performance consulting. This role involves managing Façade Inspection and Safety Program (FISP) services, leading rope access inspection teams, and providing technical oversight on restoration projects. The successful candidate will play a key role in project delivery, client engagement, and mentoring junior staff.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and expand services related to the Façade Inspection and Safety Program (FISP)
Manage Industry Rope Access (IRA) inspectors and oversee FISP projects, including periodic rope inspections
Conduct forensic analysis and consult on façade design for enhancement and maintenance projects
Prepare bid documents, repair details, and manage bidding and construction phases
Collaborate with internal departments on proposals and budget tracking
Establish and maintain client relationships, ensuring timely project delivery
Advise on building enclosure performance, constructability, and durability
Ensure compliance with local building and energy codes
Produce detailed technical reports and documentation
Mentor junior staff and contribute to internal knowledge sharing through presentations and case studies
Perform additional duties as assigned by management
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of experience in building envelope/enclosure and restoration projects
SPRAT certification and industrial rope access experience preferred
Licensed Architect or Professional Engineer preferred
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or Engineering
Proficient in interpreting architectural drawings and technical documentation
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Word or equivalent documentation tools
Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain strategic oversight
