The Role: Chief Electrical Estimator
As the Chief Electrical Estimator, you'll be the strategic force behind every bid. Your expertise will shape winning proposals, build client confidence, and set the stage for successful projects. You'll lead a high-performing estimating team, ensure precision in every number, and help price projects for success-not just for the lowest bid.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the estimating process for complex electrical projects-from initial bid review to final proposal.
- Analyze drawings, specifications, and scope to produce accurate, comprehensive cost estimates.
- Collaborate with PMs, engineers, and preconstruction teams to align estimates with execution strategies.
- Mentor and develop estimators, fostering technical growth and confidence.
- Build strong vendor relationships to secure competitive pricing and valuable insights.
- Influence strategy, helping decide which projects to pursue and how to stay ahead of the competition.

What You Bring
- Extensive experience in electrical estimating, including leadership responsibilities.
- Comprehensive knowledge of NEC, NFPA, and industry standards.
- Experience with commercial, industrial, or mission-critical projects.
- Proficiency in estimating software (Accubid, Trimble, Bluebeam, or similar).
- Ability to interpret electrical drawings, one-lines, and specifications.
- Leadership skills that promote collaboration, accountability, and growth.
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experience.
- Strong background working with electrical systems in commercial or mission-critical construction.
- Expertise in NEC, NFPA 70/70E, IEEE, and NETA standards.
- Experience managing QAQC across multiple levels on electrical projects.
- Familiarity with QA tools (Procore, BIM 360, Smartsheet, CMMS).
- Excellent communication skills for issue resolution and client engagement.
Bonus Points
- Certifications: PE (Electrical), LEED, ASPE, or CPE.
- Experience with data centers, hospitals, or advanced manufacturing projects.
- Established vendor and subcontractor relationships in the region.

Work Environment
