Civil Engineering Principal - Land Development
A well established, employee owned engineering and environmental consulting firm is looking to bring on a Senior Project Manager / Principal to support continued growth within its Columbus land development team.
This is a long term, stability focused opportunity within a firm known for its strong culture, repeat client base, and consistent growth across the region.
The Opportunity
You will play a key role in leading and delivering site development projects across a mix of commercial, industrial, institutional, and residential clients.
This role offers a balance of:
- Project leadership
- Client development
- Team mentoring and growth
You will have visibility across the full project lifecycle, from early concept and client interaction through permitting and construction.
What You'll Be Doing
- Lead and manage land development projects from proposal through completion
- Build and maintain client relationships, with a focus on repeat business
- Support business development efforts and identify new opportunities
- Oversee design work including site layout, grading, stormwater, and utilities
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team growth
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and delivery
What They're Looking For
- 14+ years of land development experience
- Strong background in private sector site development
- Proven client-facing and business development experience
- Experience leading teams and mentoring staff
- PE license required
- Ability to manage projects end to end
